About Billy and Fractal Faith

I was baptized Catholic as a child, but spent most of my adult years as an atheist.

Despite telling people “I don’t believe in God,” I was always searching. I tore through personal development books, followed Stoicism for a while, and meditated like a Buddhist.

Christianity was the last place I looked, and that only came after a hard season of life.

It turned out to be a complete explanation of reality. It explained why the pattern we see in a human cell shows up in marriages, economies, and cathedrals, and why anything exists at all.

Christianity explains why reality rhymes.

I’d grown up with a thin version of the faith. Fractal Faith is where I share what I now see so clearly.

Who the Fractal Faith newsletter is for

You might want to follow along if:

  • You’re a Christian who wants to understand your faith at a deeper level

  • You’re an intellectual who wants more than vibes and emotional testimonies

  • You’re deep into secular personal development and find yourself wanting more than it can offer

If you suspect there’s something you’re not “getting” about Christianity, this newsletter is where it might finally click.

What you’ll get

Essays on theology, philosophy, and the patterns that appear at every scale of existence. Plus the occasional embarrassing story. I’m still new to this.

Let’s figure it out together.

I used to find reality puzzling. Christianity was the missing piece.
